Introduction

Members of LEAPS have tried archery at two different Calvert Trust activity centres, and a private club at Gilesgate School in Durham.A disabled person participating in archery at Durham

With specially adapted equipment, most disabled people can take part in archery with the assistance  of very helpful instructors and staff.

Both Calvert Trust centres had specially trained staff for working with people with disabilities and having the right equipment to enable them to participate.

Calvert Trust - Kielder Water

Helpful and friendly staff, keen to involve everybody by using adaptive equipment where necessary.

Calvert Trust - Keswick

Helpful staff, with specially made equipment for use by everyone.

LEAPS Rating = 4   The LEAPS Rating is 4


Gilesgate School - Durham

Informative staff, keen on archery and very helpful, taught the basic fundamentals, not recommended for people who have disabilities.
